Secret 1 - Are You Hungry for Success?

I believe that you are ‘Hungry for Success’ or you will not be reading this information. It is easy to become successful because 95% of the people out there are not moving ahead. All you need to do to become a success is to put yourself in the 5% categories of people who are hungry for success. You need to do things that the 95% are not willing to do.

You just got to get out of your comfort zone! What you have today is within your comfort zone. What you still do not possess is in your ‘un-comfort’ zone - what you want to have, do and be.

How do you know if you are hungry for success?

1. You are tired of your current situation, financial and otherwise.

2. You are looking for a way out of the ‘Rut and Rat Race’.

3. You are serious about committing to change.

4. You are willing to DWIT – do whatever it takes. Provided you do not violate Universal Laws and the rights of other human beings.

5. You have so much PAIN that you just need to change.

6. You are committed to take ACTION NOW!

As Anthony Robbins quoted, ‘It is in your moment of DECISION that your DESTINY is shaped’. So are you serious about making a change. The truth is that no matter how well you are doing today, you can do better. On the other hand if you are totally broke, you can make a decision to change today.

These are the 3 principles that I personally hold dearly:

1. Change happens in an INSTANT, but it is the DECISION to CHANGE that takes a long, long, long….time!

2. If you keep on doing the same thing, you’ll only get the SAME result and outcome.

3. The FUTURE dose NOT equal to the PAST.

So my friend, are you serious about changing for the better?

Let me tell you about my own story to show you how I have changed over the years because I was hungry for success. The purpose of telling you my story is to inspire and show you that you can also change and create success in your own life.

I was born and raised in a small township called Tumpat, on the east coast of Malaysia. My parents took their life savings to send me to England. I was fortunate to be able to further my higher education in England where I took up Chartered Accountancy. I was in England for 8 Years of my life, having to study and work there to fulfill my Articleship. When I returned to Malaysia I had one GOAL, that is, I do not wish to work for anyone. I wanted to be my own BOSS. I always believed and preferred to be ‘A BIG fish in a small bowl rather than a SMALL fish in the vast ocean’. Therefore, I started my own Accounting practice.

I did not start the accounting practice in the State where I was born. In fact I moved to another State more that 100 miles away. I was completely new in the state of Terengganu. I do not have any friends or relatives there. I rented a small office on the third floor of a shop house and the only staff I had at that time was Nancy, who is now my wife and life partner. We had a small room at the back of the office and that is where we stayed. Hey, there was no traffic jam. The office was just a few steps from our bedroom.

We stayed in Terengganu for 20 years and built a successful Accounting firm literally from scratch. I also have success in other areas of my life:

1. I was the President of the Lions Club.
2. I was the Treasurer of the Royal Golf Club. I played gold to a handicap of 13.
3. I was the Secretary of the Squash Association.
4. I played squash for the state of Terengganu. Today my son, at the age of 16, plays for the state of Selangor. This is where we are now residing.
5. I was the Secretary of the Accountants Association in Terengganu.
6. I received an award (medal) from the Sultan (Ruler) of Terengganu.
7. I am the father to 3 lovely children, Daniel, Nicholas and Hannah.

During my time in Terengganu I was introduced to the MLM business for the first time. A young man who did not complete his primary education introduced me to the MLM industry. I joined to use the products and was not interested in the
business. Well, at that time I was a busy Accountant and did not think that the MLM business was for me. It may be suitable for my wife though!

The young man persisted and followed up with me for 6 years. Then the turning point came after I gathered more information about the MLM business model. I read many relevant books and listen to many tapes.

So my MLM involvement started in 1991. I worked on the program together with Nancy and we achieved a degree of success. We had been to a few leadership trips sponsored by the company. We learned a lot by being involved with that company and the young man as my mentor. The company is one of the oldest and biggest MLM company in the world. One of the things I want you to understand is that in order to be successful you need to be a good follower. Imagine a Chartered Accountant having to learn from a young man who did not finish his primary education. This is not easy for most people. I am successful, because I can let go of my ego and pride to learn from that young man.

After being involved with the MLM business for about 10 years, I retired from it due to some personal reasons. Hey, today I am still enjoying residual income from that company for the past efforts that I put in.

After spending 20 years in Terengganu I decided that it was time to CHANGE. I had achieved what I could in that state. I discussed with Nancy and make a serious and committed decision to let go of everything that we had built in Terengganu to move on. Within 2 weeks after making the decision, we moved to the state of Selangor, where we are now residing. I transferred my Accounting practice to my Partner who is currently managing the business.

I left my 20 years behind and started anew in Selangor. We left on faith! I have to start all over again in Selangor since I did not have many friends here. I had to locate schools for my 3 children. We have since sent all our 3 children to Christian Home Schooling. I do not have any job or business in this new place. There was no new source of income for my family. Nancy is a fulltime housewife.

In order to network and meet new friends I decided to attend Seminars. I spent thousands of dollars attending Seminars. Well, I can still use my credit cards!

In one of the Seminar, I met a young man who inspired me to make another change in my life. You see, over the years since I was doing my studies in England

I had always wanted to write a book. However, like most people the idea never materialized because I kept on postponing. Well, he had written a book. Man… I was angry with myself. I thought that he should have waited for me to write my book first, since he was much younger than me.

Hey, realize that in life no one is ‘GONNA’ wait for you. Either you do it or others will run with it! I quietly told the young man if I could meet up with him for an hour after the seminar. He was kind enough to meet me in a coffee shop. For one hour I was like a sponge, absorbing all the information from him about his experience in writing his book.

Here is another valuable lesson for you. If you are looking for opinion or advice, get it from someone who is successful and have done it. Don’t get it from the Naysayers!

At that moment I make a promise to myself that I will take massive action to come out with my first book. As I previously said, it is in your moment of decision that your destiny is shaped. Also remember that CHANGE happens in an INSTANT. It is the DECISION to change that takes a long, long, long…..time!

With that commitment I published my first book within 3 months of meeting the young man. It is a motivational book,‘Cappuccino & Success’. Another lesson to learn is that you should always ride on your momentum. Never stop once you have achieved your GOAL.

It all started when I decided to move from Terengganu to Selangor. I believe that everything happens for a purpose, and it is always for the good. So we need to CHANGE to move to HIGHER levels.

Another important ingredient for SUCCESS is being able to identify a major TREND and position yourself in front of the WAVE! Let me tell you that 8 years ago as of this writing, I did not know how to send an email. I did not know much
about the Internet. However, 8 years ago I identified a major trend. I know that the INTERNET will be the wave of the future. Eight years ago I started learning about the Internet. This is the reason why I wrote most of my books on the subject of Internet marketing. Because of the knowledge and experience that I gathered I am able to promote all my ebooks on the Internet.

Through all these events and successes, I still have my heart on the MLM business model. I was looking for one that I could build our family future with. Life is full of decisions and sacrifices. In 2005 I decide to give up my seminar business and focus full time on building my MLM business. Cappuccino Story: Hope Is A Duty

Dr. Henry Viscardi was born without legs, and spent his first seven years as a charity patient in a hospital. He struggled to survive as a severely crippled child and as a young man, horribly deformed. The world was unkind and ignorant of
the challenges facing him, in a body 3 feet 8 inches tall. Only at the age of 27, did he get his first artificial legs. Suddenly a whole new world was opened to him, and it transformed his life. He began helping armless and legless veterans at Walter Reed Hospital during the World War II. He found the woman of his dream and together they had four daughters. Dr. Viscardi founded the Long Island Human Resources Center for Disabled Children and Adults. He turned his adversity into an opportunity to teach thousands of physically challenged people to have faith and believe in themselves and their potential.
