Secret 7 – The Greatest Secret is Persistency

I left this to the end because this is the most
important ingredient to your success. Without this quality you will never
succeed even if you followed all the 6 Secrets outlined above.
It is sad to know that most people would have
succeeded in the MLM business, had they persisted and try one more time!
You do not FAIL in MLM…you merely QUIT!
If MLM is easy then everyone will be rich and
wealthy. It does not work that way. It is not easy but it is DOABLE! If
there is such a term!
In his best selling book, ‘Think & Grow Rich’, Napoleon had this to say
about Persistency…There may be no heroic connotation to the word
PERSISTENCE, but the quality is to the character of man what carbon is to
steel.
The business of MLM is not a hundred meter race but rather a marathon. It
rewards those who can persist. I strongly recommend that you have NO right
to QUIT until you have given at least two years of your time. Go into a
pact or agreement with your upline leaders. Promise them that you’ll not
quit until you have given your best shot for at least 2 years. Know what?
You’ll succeed if you last the 2 years. There is no way to fail!
Here are some ways to assist you to persist and stay focus:
1. Strengthen your belief system regarding the company, products,
compensation plan and your upline organization. You can do this by feeding
yourself with more information. Most of all you have to believe that you
can succeed. No one is going to believe in you if you do not believe in
yourself.
2. Stay in touch with your upline leaders. Remember this important
principle…When you are DOWN always GO UP, but when you are UP, GO DOWN. SO
if you have problem and feel discouraged go up to your ACTIVE upline
leaders for advice. When you are excited, share your excitement with your
downline organization.
3. Set your GOAL high. This will provide you with the excitement and will
keep you moving ahead regardless of the challenges you face. Get pictures
of your dream house, dream car, dream vacation, etc and paste them where
you can see
them everyday.
4. Choose your environment. Your mind must be closed tightly against all
negative suggestions of relatives, friends and acquaintance. Spend less
time with negative people if you cannot avoid them totally.
5. Raise you energy level at all time. Remember that Highest Energy Wins!
6. When you find yourself with a negative thought…say ‘CANCEL’ out loudly.
7. Get a Mastermind group going. Have regular meetings to encourage each
other. Make sure that you are selective as to who are in your mastermind
group. Make sure that these are LEADERS in your upline or downline
organization.
These are the people who have the same objective as you and will encourage
you to succeed. Do not include distributors from other groups or sidelines
since these are your competitors.
I hope that you now realize the importance of
Persistency. Choose a good company and a good support organization and
never look back. Give yourself at least 2 years and I will surely see you
at the TOP!
Cappuccino Story: The General And The Boy
Once, there was a General who wanted to cross a
river. He was unsure of the depth of the river, and whether his horse
could make it across the river. He looked around for help and saw a little
boy nearby. He asked the boy for advice. The boy looked at the size of the
General’s horse and paused for a moment. He
then confidently told the General that it is safe for the General and his
horse to cross the river. The General proceeded to cross the river on his
horse. As he approached the middle of the river, he suddenly realized that
the river was, in fact, very deep, and he almost drowned. After he
recovered from his shock he shouted at the boy and threatened to punish
him. The boy was stunned and innocently replied, “But General, I see my
ducks crossing the river everyday without any problem, and my ducks have
shorter legs than your horse”.
SUCCESS PRINCIPLES
If you need advice, get it from people who know
what they are talking about. Napoleon Hill says that, “opinion is the
cheapest commodity on earth”. Make sure you review for yourself the
opinion of others before you act on them.
